Higher Synthesis Health has taken over the Body Brain Resilience Center, as of August, 2016. We will mainly be seeing patients on the first floor, in Suite 104. Certain services will be offered in an office in Suite 301.
Please stay tuned for an updated website.
Information about us
Higher Synthesis Health is a small clinical practice opening in the fall of 2014. It is based on my work (I”m Martha Herbert, PhD, MD, a child neurologist, neuroscientist, systems thinker, writer and speaker). You can check out my publications and blogs on the websites at the bottom of this page, and in my book The Autism Revolution: Whole Body Strategies for Making Life All It Can Be, which applies to much more than autism.
My overall aims are
- to go beyond fragmented care to a higher and inclusive synthesis
- to practice collaboratively with patients as partners
- to work together to dig out of health problems that are related more than medical care generally appreciates to our planetary crisis
- to really to make life all it can be.
GUIDE TO THE WEBSITE AND PRACTICE:
Approach: From Fragments to Synthesis: Looking at the underlying issues driving symptoms and optimizing the whole system.
Practice-Based Research: Turning clinical activity, and the work the patient puts in, into data, and building a collaborative approach to learning from what we do.
Sensitive Science: Using tests and measures that are sensitive to what we want to know, and also with sensitivity to the limits of what they can tell us.
Clinical Services: These will include pediatric neurodevelopmental consulation, evolutionary/functional medicine and Anat Baniel Method neuromovement lessons.
Procedures and Policies: This will be a small, intensive practice, and people will be asked to engage in a bit of dialog about what they want and expect before proceeding further.
